Abstract
An detailed diagnosis of where we are in terms of energy from an analysis of the ecological economy. Despite their benefits, the authors show why so-called renewable energies cannot be considered a lifeline without making more profound changes in the production and consumption system. Finally, they examine the different scenarios for the transitions that emerge from the application of the MEDEAS model, developed by the University of Valladolid.
