Análisis de la asociación microespacial del agregado lítico del nivel IV de BK (Garganta de Olduvai, Tanzania)

Resumen

El notable incremento de la superficie excavada conseguido tras las últimas campañas arqueológicas realizadas en BK (Garganta de Olduvai, Tanzania) ha hecho posible la puesta al descubierto de densas asociaciones de artefactos líticos y restos de fauna en un contexto de alteración postsedimentaria de baja energía. En las páginas siguientes se presentan los primeros resultados del estudio microespacial llevado a cabo a partir del agregado lítico registrado en un área delimitada del nivel BKIV. A través de una metodología que combina el análisis tecnológico, el análisis espacial y la identificación de remontajes se pretende obtener alguna información acerca del comportamiento de aquellos homínidos que ocasionaron estas acumulaciones. La relativa fragmentación de las cadenas operativas técnicas así como la ausencia casi total de remontajes podrían estar indicando unas ocupaciones puntuales y episódicas de los individuos que frecuentaron este enclave.
