Resumen
Twenty-six years have passed since the publication of the world-renowned Delors Report, which has undoubtedly had a great impact and influence on educational theory and policy, but what has been its real influence on educational practices? The purpose of this research is to answer this question. For this purpose, the Delphi method was used, by means of three successive rounds of qualitative questionnaires to twenty experts from Mexico and Spain. The results show that in both countries the Delors Report is cited in theory, to justify projects, as well as in study plans and programs, but that it is not complied with in practice. The pillars of learning to be and learning to live together are the most neglected in general and authentic classroom practice, although they are the most necessary to respond to the needs of students. The importance of teacher training is also highlighted.
