Résumé

Teaching guides, in the context of the university education, are a powerful tool for organizing the framework, objectives tools, and syllabus of each course. Its usefulness is beyond any doubt at the administrative level, and it is also useful for teachers and students. In this study, we propose that the student, however, could benefit from a teaching guide much more oriented to procedures and evaluation processes as students perceive them. We also try to get clues on how to prepare a new type of document, that we name Student Guide, which better convey the information the student needs. The preliminary results from this survey, that has been released to general level in our university, indicate that these guides could be much a more useful and clear communication mechanism for the dissemination of information to students.
