Résumé

The Second Chamber of the Court of Justice of the European Union, with this ruling, interprets Council Directive 2000/78/EC of 27 November 2000 establishing a general framework for equal treatment in employment and occupation. The question referred for a preliminary ruling on the prohibition of discrimination on grounds of religion or belief in the case of a private undertaking which excludes, at the workplace, manifestations of any kind of religious, philosophical or political carácter. This prohibition includes not only the manifestation of these convictions through freedom of expression, but also in the exercise of freedom of behaviour, as reflected in the use of certain presses with religious significance.
