Resumen

Digital home is a relatively new concept evolved from the addition of ICTs to home automation. Its rapid evolution results from the advent of wireless smart handheld devices and new wireless technologies being introduced to the home. Digital home technologies still have some drawbacks such as the lack of complete interoperability among devices and manufacturers, and security issues. These result in the digital home advancing more slowly than the technology market penetration in general.
