Resumen

On June 27, 2017, the European Commission imposed an exorbitant fine on Google for abusing its dominant position in the general internet search engine market to favor its own comparison shopping services over those of its competitors. Dissatisfied with this result, Google appealed to the EU General Court based on six major objections to the Commission’s analysis. This paper examines the long-awaited response of the General Court, with special emphasis on the analysis of abusive behavior self-preference or favouring, which remained (and still remains?) wrapped in a thick fog of legal uncertainty.
