Resumen
The present paper is a summary of a boock written by the author. It first deals with a small study on the influence of emotions in the process of mathematical teaching and learning, then presents the advantages of a specific line of work on mental calculus in a class-room environment and finally it conveys a discussion on selecting the more adequate didactical contents and methodology to be considered in order tohelp students improve their emocional behavior while dealing with mathematical learning.
