Abstract
In the present work, a study of the figures of representation in the health field is made when the patient had not previously established a support figure. It is also seen the differences between the representation that Law 41/2002, basic for the patient autonomy offers depending on whether or not this figure of support exists in adults and other figures of a representative nature in the current legal system. Likewise, the possible modifications in the current version of the law are considered, observing the adequacy to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities of 2006
