Abstract

This paper presents a case study where competitive e-learningstrategies are used in an undergraduate Database course in order to develop inuniversity students the capacity to actively research and leadership in their ownlearning process. The experience is based on the use of the QUEST system.This tool presents both individual and group work environments in which a setof intellectual “challenges” must be solved in a time-constrained way.
