Abstract
In a society that is changing at a historically unprecedented pace, ethnomusicologists, and more generally all researchers in the human sciences, are facing elusive problems, of which we can barely see the shadows. As a result, the relationship between researchers and informants is changing, as well as the concept of “field” and the research methods. In this article, starting from three different examples of dialogic relationships with payadores rioplatenses, I reflect on some situations raised by the information society.
