Abstract
The high reredos of the cathedral of Burgos is one of the most outstanding examples of the time, as well as an important exponent of the romanist style. A host of prominent masters gathered in its construction, such as the brothers Rodrigo and Martín de la Haya, assemblers and sculptors that carried out most of the work, the exquisite basque sculptor Juan de Anchieta, Domingo de Bérriz or the painters Gregorio Martínez and Diego de Urbina, who covered the masonry and the sculptures that comprise it with rich polychromy.
