Sustainable development goals

Abstract

From the 2017/18 academic year to the present, numerous teaching innovation projects, whose direct beneficiaries have mainly been the students of the Degree in Art History at the University of Valladolid, have included sensory accessibility, specifically visual accessibility, through audio description, as a means of promoting social inclusion in the artistic field and, in this way, reflecting what is already happening in the art world. Thanks to this adaptation, students not only learn the application of techniques that facilitate access to information in their framework of study, but also develop values such as equal rights. Although there are many areas of application for audio description (museums, performing arts, tourism, etc.), during the aforementioned courses it has focused on the film field and always as part of the study of audiovisual language in different subjects, from a theoretical, historical, aesthetic and technical point of view.
