Zusammenfassung

We approach the study of the private epistolary of Manuel Sobrado, a schoolboy from Santa Cruz, made up of some five hundred documents dated in the second half of the 18th century. These are mainly letters sent on the occasion of his admission to the college and those that were sent to him during his exile in Lugo. The analysis of this correspondence reveals the development of personal relationships driven by interests oriented towards the professional and social promotion of the textual interlocutors.
