Resumen

The goalkeeper role demarcation presents distinctive characteristics compared to other positions in soccer. The analysis of the goalkeeper's motor behaviors can offer a valuable contribution to explore the performance of a team. Thus, the aim of this work was to design, validate and test the reliability of an ad hoc observation instrument that would allow a contextualized analysis of the goalkeeper's motor decision-making during competition. Through a process of analysis and discussion with experts, an observation instrument combining a field format and a category system was developed and validated. In the reliability process, 717 motor decisions corresponding to the 10 matches analyzed were observed. By means of the V-Aiken calculation, high degrees of statistical validity were obtained (V = .99). Similarly, through Cohen's Kappa formula, results were obtained that confirmed optimal levels of concordance, both in interobservation and intraobservation (K ≥ .87) and by means of Cronbach's Alpha a high internal consistency was determined (α=1). Using the Generalizability Theory, the percentage of variance in Observers (0%), Moment (0%) and Categories (99%) was demonstrated. In conclusion, the findings obtained allow us to affirm that the instrument designed is valid, reliable and provides a solid basis for the analysis and understanding of the goalkeeper's motor actions and their influence on the team's performance.
