Abstract
This article proposes a technological approach for the comprehension of social and economical inclusion/exclusion problem in Latin America, displaying its pertinence for the development of a technology oriented to cope with it, hereafter called Social Technology (ST). It begins by observing that there is an insufficient connection between the theoretical and practical levels in which social inclusion initiatives take place. A technological approach for social inclusion allows to understand ST in its actual transforming sense: as a technology that should be developed with participation of the social actors interested in it and in accordance to their values and interests. Additionally, we indicate some possible ways in which this approach could be used to reorient Latin American Countries� Science and Technology Policy towards Social Movements� needs
