GARCIA HERRERO

PhD in Communication with dual degrees in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Valladolid and in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Salamanca, having completed his studies at the Uniwersytet Łódzki and the National Higher School of Film & Television in Łódź (Poland). His additional qualifications include a Master's in Communication Research as a Historical-Social Agent (MICahs) from the University of Valladolid, a Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude (CAP) from the University of Salamanca, and a specialization in Scientific and Environmental Communication from Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid. His professional experience spans various media and audiovisual production companies, as well as communication departments for both public and private entities. Notably, his international experience includes producing social and scientific photo essays and educational cooperation projects in the United States, Chile, the United Kingdom, Russia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and India. Following his tenure at a joint center between the University of the Balearic Islands (UiB) and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), where he was responsible for Communication and Scientific Culture for an environmental project between Brazil, Chile, and Spain (LINCGlobal), he served as Dissemination and Communication Manager for three projects under the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Commission. He currently serves as Digital Education Advisor for Grupo SM in the Educamos project, combining this role with producing social and scientific photo essays, teaching as an Associate Professor in the Journalism program at the University of Valladolid, and as an External Professor in the Journalism, Audiovisual Communication, and Advertising and Public Relations programs at the European University Miguel de Cervantes. He has also delivered various lectures and international courses at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (UAL), the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda (IPG), the Universidade da Beira Interior (UBI) in Portugal, the International Burch University (IBU) in Bosnia, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT) in Egypt, Yerevan State University (YSU) in Armenia, Durban University of Technology (DUT) in South Africa, the University of Belize (UB), and has conducted research at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in Brazil.
