Carmen Martínez holds a PhD in International Law and International Relations and is an Assistant Professor at the University of Valladolid, Spain. Her main line of research focuses on the normative integration of core labour rights and environmental protection in different international trade systems, with particular attention to the incorporation of sustainable development issues in European Union free trade agreements and how the European Union's common commercial policy has evolved in recent years.
