Doctor by the Universidad de Valladolid with the thesis Aplicaciones fisicas del formalismo de moyal de la mecanica cuantica 1991. Supervised by Dr. Manuel Gadella.
Along my scientific career I essentially devoted my efforts to solve different physical problems, mainly in Quantum Mechanics, using the many different mathematical techniques that I have learnt and mastered along those years, in close collaboration with mathematicians, physicists and mathematical physicists from all around the world. Very briefly, these are the main research lines in which I have been working on: o Mathematical modelling of graphene and other metamaterials. o Travelling wave solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations. o Solvable potentials and related hypergeometric equations. o Integrable and superintegrable classical and quantum problems. o Finite difference equations and applications. o Supersymmetry in Quantum Mechanics. o Algebraic treatment of the Jaynes-Cummings model and related topics. o Wigner functions in Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Optics. o Quantum Mechanics in phase space and applications. o Coherent states. o Position-dependent mass quantum mechanical problems. o Quantum communications, quantum computation and quantum optics. o Black hole physics.
