Abstract

Since the entry into the EEC in 1986, after 30 years of Common Agricultural Policy, the Spanish countryside in general, and that of the inner regions in particular, has been substantially transformed. There has been two different phases: the first, from admission until the 1992 reform, and the second, from then until the present day. This paper focus on an alarm topic then: the inability of agricultural structures to a highly competitive framework. How has the PAC incised in the evolution and consolidation of the agricultural structures of Castilla y León? The answer is given, in part, by the listings of the FEGA on CAP payments, for all beneficiaries, available since 2006. We evaluate these data, crossed with those of the agricultural census, the survey of agricultural holdings and the agrarian employment of Social Security, reaching the municipal level and even individual exploitation.
