Abstract
The present work analyses in depth the second chapter in Paul Aster’s novel Moon Palace , by so doing an analytic reading will be undertaken, emphasizing all those elements which represent the main character’s initiation, especially those belonging to structural and symbolic realms. It is intended to place Moon Palace within the Bildungsroman tradition.
