Resumen

While there are many tools available to translators to solve the problems that arise throughout the translation process in the different phases, the corpus has turned out to be one of the most used and studied tools during the last decades, especially as a result of the work Corpus Linguistics and Translation Studies. Implications and Applications (Baker, 1993). Therefore, in this work we will show approaches to this discipline, Corpus Linguistics, applied to Translation Studies. Finally, we will also show the one that will be applied for the design and compilation of a comparable virtual legal corpus composed of Spanish and British disability laws in a given period of time. Moreover, the characteristics of our corpus will be also described.
