Abstract
Thirty six Churra ewes were used to study the effects of dietary supplementationof ewes with vitamin E (natural vs. synthetic) on milk yield and composition. Neitherthe addition of vitamin E to diets with extruded linseed nor the type of vitamin E didinfluence significantly milk yield and production (P > 0,05). However, the results showedan increase in milk vitamin E concentrations conferred by the supranutritional vitaminE supplementation. Concentrations of vitamin E in milk were greater for ewes fed thenatural vitamin E than for ewes fed the synthetic vitamin E.
