Doctor by the Universidad de Salamanca with the thesis Filtros y controles ambientales en el ensamblaje y la biodiversidad de comunidades herbáceas afectadas por el matorral en un contexto climático mediterráneo - atlántico de transición 2008. Supervised by Dr. José Antonio García Rodríguez.

I am a plant ecologist aimed at studying the mechanisms (at the population and community level) underlying the structural and functional patterns of vegetation at different spatial and temporal scales. Thus, my main line of research seeks to understand the impacts of climate fluctuations on the assembly and coexistence of species and the consequent functional implications in natural plant communities (grasslands, shrublands and forests).
