I have been awarded the master degree in urban planning by Università Iuav di Venezia (2014), then I was a researcher in 2014-15 and 2016-17 at the same University on the basis of two annual research grants in urbanism. In 2020 I achieved the double degree of Doctor of Architecture (University of Valladolid) and Ph.D. (Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Germany) in the frame of the Horizon-2020-funded European Joint Doctorate "urbanHist" (Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 721933). As postdoctoral researcher, I held three positions. First, in 2021 I held a position at Iuav performed at the Instituto Universitario de Urbanística of the University of Valladolid (UVa). Second, between January 2022 and August 2024 I held a position at UVa in the frame of the Spanish national programme ‘Margarita Salas’ for a research stay at the Polytechnic University of Madrid with the research project ‘Urban Regeneration as a new version of Urban Renewal Programmes. Achievements and failures’. Eventually. I currently held a Ramón y Cajal position at the UVa with the research project ‘Military Properties in Europe: Regeneration Strategies and their Effects on Socio-Spatial Production Processes’.
