Resum
Hsv-1 is among the largest dna viruses investigated for gene transfer and has been engineered as a vector for application in gene therapy. The ability of shv-1 to switch between lytic infection and latency is an attractive property to exploit for hsv.1 vector engineering. The main objective of this study was to analyse the possibility of controlling the lytic-latent transition by manipulating hsv-1 regulatory genes, epecifically icp0.
